You know how football and baseball often have throwback games, where the teams don unis from some past era? Here’s a thought: Why doesn’t Nascar do a throwback race once or twice per year? Pick a year, any year, and, using modern paint schemes and numbers and sponsors, model the car bodies from the showcase year. I think it’s a grand idea.
Sounds cool. Closest thing we have is the Old School Racing series (http://www.osrct.com). I’m fired up, because we’re supposed get one of those races in ‘09.
